EDIT: Shot with Canon PowerShot A590/S. While the camera's mine, most of the pics (all from the arena) were taken by a frind of mine as I had my hands full (literally) with my nephew.

What are these missiles? Will Strop be serially produced?

Igla-1 were considered.
As for production, long time it seemed to be a dead project and victim of the peace dividend, but it seems that Slovakians (significant part of war industry was moved to Slovakia post-WW2) are building 'em, with a bit of modernisation, under the name BRAMS. Seems it at least underwent trials at the PVO training center in Poprad. A bit different SAM mount and 9K313 SAM...

Official web of Slovakian MoD is silent on the matter, OTOH it is silent on most matters concerning the equipment, so dunno whether it will be accepted or not.

Arminius: Next big action in the tank museum is last weekend of August, on the Saturday, the Tank Day. Name speaks for itself wink.gif And there are no problems at all to come there - it's not a closed facility, heck there ain't even no tickets to pay for smile.gif

Oops, seems the English version is, in fact, Czech laugh.gif
Okay, the Tank Day is the last entry so far, ie 29th August 2009. Sooner, there is another big action, the Museum Night of Prague on june 20th, but that concerns only general military museum and mil. aviation museum AFAIK.
Of course if you want to avoid crowds and exchange mobile exhibitions for a chance to have a good look at the stuff, you may come anytime in the season - for Tank Museum, it's June and September weekends only, July and August Wednesday-Sunday. If you ever planned to have a look, contact me for sure - I might act as guide or I might at the very least try to navigate you through the mess Prague transportation network is currently thanks to few big construction projects smile.gif Too bad i do not have an "access-via-insider" as AFAIK there are few nice goodies being restored currently (among them LT-35 light tank we got from APG and Ah-IV-Sv recon tankette Sweden gave us).

Tuccy: great pix, thanks!

Re: Tank Day, when it comes and if you attend, may I request lots of hi-res pix on the Czech T-72M4s (if any) or any T-72 in Czech service? I'd love to build a T-72M4.

For pics you may start here:

And I will of course be glad to take some pics if I'll be there.

Great link and the pix in it! Thanks. If you get near a T-72M4, I'll be chiefly interested in pix of the engine deck and rear hull.
