We all know the the results of the SCAR trails, the Mk.16 and Mk.17 were selected over several other designs. Yet I am curious as to what companies submitted entries, and those entries were. I believe the Robinson Arms XCR was tested along with the XM8R, but what else?

After the XM8 got caught up in the usual bureaucracy, what were the designs tested in the resulting "open" OICW Increment 1 contest?

Currently we have yet another small arms competition going on, which is looking at a wider array of options than previously including different ammunition. Any details on what has been submitted so far? How likely is it that an assault rifle/carbine using cased telescoped or caseless ammunition developed under the LSAT program will be entered?

Not at all, I think. I know that a carbine using the same ammo is being considered by the LSAT group, but the LSAT LMG won't be available until 2015 at the earliest, and the carbine would presumably follow on from that.
