*Drool* Great pix! Thanks for sharing us the link/source. smile.gif

That fan (I reckon it's a fan) looks perilously close to that control stick and panel. blink.gif Is that really part of the tank or a field expedient/rig by the crew?

Beautiful photos. The interiors look very "authentic", a littel paint and rust here and there, tables where some of the letters are unreadable.. very nice. laugh.gif

Fan is rubber and can be stopped by finger w/o any hurt.

Standard part of tank. That is a closest thing to air-conditioning that T-64/72/80 had.

What does the writing on the barrel say? it seens a reference to N.Popov, designer of T-80.

Great photos yak_v, do you know if they were taken in a storage base or an active combat unit?

Looks like it.

I think its an active unit. Here are the photos from the range:

The guy isn't saying what unit it is, as I kind-of gather from the comments that the photo session wasn't exactly sanctioned by the military.

If its an active unit, how come the tanks are so rusty? If we had maintained our vehicles that bad we would probbably have to face a fireing squad (well, if we hadnt abolished the death penalty some 100 yrs ago).

Nice picks anyway. Especialy those from the shooting range..

This is a training unit. The actibve tanks are kept ready.

Great pics...thanks. There's at least one T-64BV and one T-64B1V in there as well. Can someone confirm that those interior pics are inside a T-80BV and not one of the T-64s?

T-55 MBT-based fording training vehicle? blink.gif At first glance, I was wondering if that tube was some sort of launcher! laugh.gif I should have looked a bit more carefully as its the OVPT equipment for deep wading operations (5m depth?).

Fantastic pictures. T-80's are very sleek looking tanks. From the outside at least, the T-64BV1 looks to be in somewhat better condition than some of the T-80's.

BTS-4 recovery vehicle. There are several versions actually, based on the chassis of the T-44/54/55/62.
